Rank

How Algoright Rank works

Your rank is built from real, lifetime usage — not how often you visit the website. Here is the exact formula, every rank, and what it actually takes to move up.

Built from usage, not logins

Rank is a single number called Focus Points, calculated from three things Algoright already tracks:

  • 1 point per video filtered. Every video Algoright hides or sorts, on any platform.
  • 2 points per minute of Deep Work Mode. Weighted higher — it is a deliberate choice to lock your feed, not passive filtering.
  • 20 points per day you actually used Algoright. Counted the moment the extension reports real activity — no need to visit the dashboard.
  • 150 points per friend you refer. Awarded once, the moment they finish signing up through your link.

That's the whole formula. Not your plan, not how often you open the dashboard, not how many credits you've spent — just real usage and real referrals. Points are lifetime and only ever go up.

Worked example

Someone who has filtered 1,000 videos and used 100 minutes of Deep Work Mode has earned 1,000 × 1 + 100 × 2 = 1,200 points, which is Silver rank800 points from Gold.

Every rank

RankFocus Points
Bronze0+Where every account starts.
Silver500+A solid week or two of real filtering.
Gold2,000+Consistent use over several weeks.
Platinum6,000+Ongoing, committed use over a month or more.
Diamond15,000+Sustained, heavy use over the long run — the top rank.

How to actually rank up

1

Keep filtering turned on

Every video Algoright hides or sorts counts. This happens automatically once your categories are set — there is nothing extra to do.

2

Use Deep Work Mode when you actually need focus

It is worth double the points of ordinary filtering, and it is the feature most worth using anyway when you have real work to do.

3

Show up consistently

Each day with real activity adds points on its own — you do not need to visit the website for it to count, just use the extension normally.

The leaderboard

Signed-in users can see a leaderboard across four categories — Algoright Rank, Deep Work minutes, videos filtered, and current streak. It is opt-in and off by default: nobody appears on it without choosing to, and by default an anonymous handle is shown instead of a real name. Find it in the dashboard sidebar once you are signed in.

Questions about rank

What is Algoright Rank?

A lifetime score built from three real numbers: how many videos you have filtered, how many minutes you have spent in Deep Work Mode, and how many days you have genuinely used Algoright. It only ever goes up.

Does rank use a login streak?

No. An earlier version of rank was based on how many consecutive days you had opened the web dashboard — which meant someone who filtered thousands of videos through the extension but rarely visited the site could stay stuck at the bottom. Rank is now driven by real activity the extension reports, whether or not you ever open the dashboard.

Can my rank go down?

No. Focus Points are a lifetime total and never decrease. Your current streak (shown separately, on the leaderboard) can reset if you go a day without activity, but it does not subtract from your rank.

Do I need Pro to have a rank?

No. Rank is available on every plan, including Free — it exists to reflect real usage, so gating it behind a paid plan would defeat the point.

Is the leaderboard public?

No. It is only visible to signed-in users, and appearing on it is opt-in and off by default. When you opt in, you show up under an anonymous generated handle unless you choose to display your first name instead.

Why does Deep Work Mode count for more than a filtered video?

Filtering happens automatically once you have set your categories. Deep Work Mode is a deliberate choice to lock your whole feed to one category, which is why it is weighted higher in the formula.
