Algoright AI vs Freedom
Freedom blocks websites and apps across your computer and phone during focus sessions. Algoright filters the feeds inside YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and X in your browser. One blocks every device; the other filters your social feeds.
A fair comparison
Freedom is a well-established paid app. Everything said about it here, including prices, comes from freedom.to, checked in September 2026.
What Freedom does
Freedom runs focus sessions that block the sites and apps on your blocklists, on macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, Chromebook and Linux, synced across your devices. You can schedule recurring sessions in advance, and Locked Mode stops you ending one early. It also includes focus sounds.
It has a free tier with limited features. Premium is $39.99 a year, or $199 once for Freedom Forever, with a 7-day free trial.
What Algoright does
Algoright works in your desktop browser and doesn't block sites. It labels every video and post by category and hides the categories you switch off, and removes Shorts, clickbait and sponsored posts with one switch each. YouTube stays usable for the things you need it for.
It’s free on YouTube. Pro, one payment of $9.99 for life, adds TikTok, Instagram and X, Deep Work Mode and a Daily Limit per platform.
