Algoright AI vs LeechBlock NG
LeechBlock NG blocks whole websites on a schedule or after a time allowance. Algoright filters the content inside YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and X. They solve different problems, and they work well together.
A fair comparison
LeechBlock NG is free and well respected. Everything said about it here comes from its own site, checked in September 2026.
What LeechBlock NG does
You list sites and LeechBlock blocks them during set hours, after a time allowance (say, 10 minutes an hour), or both. A lockdown mode blocks them straight away for a set time, and the options can be protected with a password or a random access code to stop impulsive changes.
It works in Firefox, Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers such as Brave, Opera and Vivaldi, and it's free. Its own site is clear that it works at the site level: it blocks pages rather than filtering what is on them.
What Algoright does
Algoright doesn't block sites. It keeps YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and X usable and changes what is in their feeds: every video gets a category label, and the categories you switch off disappear. Shorts, clickbait and sponsored posts go with one switch each.
It also has a Daily Limit per platform (Pro), which shows a full-screen "time is up" screen when your minutes run out.

Questions
Can I use LeechBlock NG and Algoright together?
Yes. LeechBlock decides whether a site opens at all; Algoright changes what you see once it does. For example, LeechBlock can block TikTok during working hours while Algoright filters YouTube so it stays useful for work.
